Gauge Guards are used to isolate and protect pressure or vacuum instruments used on ultra-pure or highly-corrosive fluid lines. They can be confidently used with liquids such as deionized water (GGMU) sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, caustics...or with gasses such as corrosive air, ammonia...whenever such fluids will corrode metal instrument components. Gauge Guards also protect against clogging of instruments by suspended solids or highly viscous fluids. Furthermore, they eliminate dead pocket areas within instruments where chemicals or organic matter could decompose. All Gauge Guards are available with or without gauges.

Plast-O-Matic Gauge Guards maintain high accuracy, and assure system dependability within an operational range of full vacuum to 250 PSI, 200 PSI for Series GGME and GGMU.

Series GGS - Gauge Guards - 1/2" process connection with 1/4" or 1/2" instrument connection. PTFE or Viton diaphragm; Geon PVC, Corzan CPVC, Natural Polypropylene, Glass-filled Polypropylene, Kynar PVDF bodies available. With or without gauges; standard gauge is 2½" face, stainless steel case & connection. Pressure rating from full vacuum to 250 PSI. Options include center mount gauges, acrylic shield, vibration snubber. Series GGS provides the same pressure ratings and performance as previous Series GGM, but features a non-breakable, solid hex stainless steel (non-wetted) gauge fitting in the upper housing. For high purity or highly corrosive environments, the GGS can be ordered without the solid hex fitting.

· Available with or without gauge (dual in PSI and bar). When ordered with gauge, you have choice of a premium 2 1/2" stainless steel case, or an economical 2" black steel case with brass connection. Both types are offered in pressure or vacuum.

· NEW Design uses stainless steel hex insert (NON-WETTED) to prevent overtightening.

· Low cost protection of gauges and other pressure instruments.

· Available in a variety of thermoplastics for specific chemical compatibility and temperature ranges.

· Increase product reliability and reduce system downtime caused by failure of instruments not isolated by seals.

· Compact size makes these isolators ideal for limited space installations.

· ±3% accuracy. Will handle most applications.

· Use with gauges, transducers, and pressure switches.

· Simple to fill and install.

· For use with highly aggressive or ultra-pure liquids.

· Diaphragm safety - If the gauge or instrument fractures while the system is pressurized, the diaphragm will automatically seal against leakage to the atmosphere.

· Standard PTFE diaphragm (except for vacuum and 0-15 PSI; 0-1 bar) for maximum corrosion resistance.

· Eliminates need for costly exotic metal gauges for corrosive processes.

· Optional transparent shield for external corrosion protection; available with 2" black steel gauge only.

 

Acrylic Shields for Series GGS - This Acrylic Shield is to protect gauges from corrosion environment, this is option only for series GGS with standard gauge.
